Quaint and Oh so beautiful!! - Hotel De L'Orient

I recently made a trip to Pondicherry with my cousins! It was just the peaceful escape needed! 

We stayed at this lovely place called the Hotel De L'Orient, which is a resorted 18th century mansion. 

Love the french doors and the shutter windows ( so gorgeous)

The decor is very quaint and there are antique paintings in most hallways. 

The rooms are just as rustic and royal as it can get. The poster beds, the wall to wall windows, the very antique ceilings and ofcourse the rest of the antique furniture. 

The hotel has the most friendly staff, attending to one's every needs. The gentleman helped us find all the cafes and hotels around the city. 

It was such a pleasant thing to have breakfast every morning in that setting. 

Also I loved how every room is named after former French possessions: Masulipatam, Surate, Calicut, Gingy, Balassore, Cassimbazar.  I stayed in "Surate"

It was a very relaxing experience and I would love to go back again sometime very soon :)

Review : Lakme Absolute Shine High Liner

If Willy wonka and the chocolate factory would be named as Willy wonka and the Eyeliner Factory, then I would be the kid with the golden ticket! The one beauty product that I don't leave my house without is the eyeliner...I might miss the kajal, I may forget the mascara....but eyeliner!! NEVER!! 

Lately I have been drufting away from the usual black ones, to some coloured ones...and this one currently tops the list! 

I just love the colour....everything else apart...it's just too beautiful on the eyes! 

I like the brush that it comes with, very easy to apply...the only thing that I don't like is that it gets flaky, though it happens after a good 3-4 hours. So for a party look, it is a great purchase.

I love accessorizing an outfit, but there are days when I become a minimalist too. On days like that I have my beloved pair of shades ( we all have that one favourite pair) 

Well all that changed a bit when I came across Fastrack's new Sunblock collection!! They are so trendy yet easy on the pocket. Talk about building a collection?
